How is Qubix 2 different from other packing cubes available on the market?

Here’s a quick break down of the most important differences: * they’re made with ripstop parachute fabric that’s super sturdy yet very lightweight * the carrying handles also double as hook & hang straps - which effectively means that you don’t have to unpack your compression cubes once you reach your destination - you simply hook them, hang them, unzip them even in compressed state and gain quick access to all your clothing items - a feature not available in any other packing cubes out there * the configuration of the toiletry cube is optimised to fit all your travel essentials * the toiletry cube also has a tear - away pouch that’s made with waterproof fabric and zipper and has its own hook and hang strap so you can even take it with you in the shower - another feature not available in any other packing cubes out there * very spacious laundry bag that folds tiny so you won’t even know it’s there until you need it * a very cool electronics cube that comes with lightly padded outer walls for extra protection for your devices

What material is Qubix 2 made from?

Qubix 2 is made with ripstop parachute fabric - the same fabric parachutes are made from. Ripstop fabrics are woven using a special reinforcing technique that makes them resistant to tearing and ripping. Advantages of ripstop are the favourable strength-to-weight ratio and the fact that small tears can not easily spread. It’s highly resistant to attack from natural nasties such as molds, insects, and fungi. It’s water resistant (hence its use in umbrellas, tents, sleeping bags, kites, flags or water resistant clothes) and fast-drying because water molecules can’t easily penetrate the outer surface.

How do I care for my Qubix 2?

Ripstop nylon is also one of the easiest fabrics to clean. Simply put your cube into the tub or sink with cold water. Use a soft sponge and some laundry detergent to lather and gently scrub. Rinse thoroughly with cold water and hang or lay flat to dry.

Is there a warranty for Qubix 2?

You bet! We offer a 6 month warranty for any product that was received damaged or that gets damaged for any reason other than misuse. Simply send us a picture of the damage and a brief description of how it came about and we’ll send you a replacement as soon as possible.

What size should my luggage be to fit Qubix 2?

Qubix 2 fits perfectly into all kinds of luggage sizes. For a shorter trip, you can even fit the small, medium and electronics cube into your backpack for neat, lightweight travels.

How does the compression zipper work?

The middle zipper is the compression one. When it’s unzipped, the cube is fully expanded and gives you maximum packing capacity. After you close the lid, you can compress the bag in 2 stages using the compression zipper, which wraps around your Qubix 2 twice for increased flexibility. This brings together the top and bottom of the bag, gradually flattening out the cube content and reducing by up to 66% the space your stacked clothes would otherwise take.

Do I have to pay VAT/tax when I receive my Qubix 2?

Qubix 2 ships globally and duties/taxes are different in each country. Because of that, we can’t retain additional duties/VAT in a way that’s accurate and fair for every backer. Any duties/VAT are the backer’s responsibility. If any duties apply, these may be charged at the time of receiving the package. To check whether or not there are duties/VAT charges for your reward in your country, please contact your local post office.

When do I give you my address?

Approximately 2 weeks after the campaign has ended we will send you a survey through BackerKit - the pledge management platform we will be using. In the survey, you will be able to tell us all the add-ons you want included in your reward according to the amount contributed during the campaign. Also in the survey you will be able to give us your preferred shipping address for your reward delivery.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

Crowdfunding is very different to buying a ready-made product in a regular store. By participating as a backer, you pledge to support an entrepreneurial endeavour to bring a product to life for the very first time and we are very grateful for every single backer that supports our endeavours. You can edit your order as you want until it is locked in preparation for production. Once your order is locked and your card is charged, your pledge and the funds you pledge for add-ons on BackerKit are used to make and ship your reward as soon as we receive them, so refund are unfortunately not possible past that time. We appreciate your support and we can’t wait to deliver your Qubix2!

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
